What Is It?

2010 Mazda CX-7 and CX-9

The Specs

Mazda has updated versions of the CX-7 and CX-9 crossovers for the 2010 model year. The company will also show the feisty new Mazdaspeed3 sport compact sedan that debuted at the Geneva Motor Show just last month. The CX-7 receives a second, normally aspirated engine to join its turbocharged motor. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder should deliver improved fuel economy for the sporty crossover. Details on the 2010 CX-9 (pictured) were not available, but expect only minor modifications to this successful three-row wagon.

The Bottom Line

Mazda's Mazdaspeed3 may steal the show away from the company's more practical vehicles. But the new normally aspirated CX-7 could become a strong seller for the brand considering it will combine a lower price point with improved fuel economy.
